We have a luncheon group, the Fun, Fellowship, and Friends group meeting at noon, the third Wednesday of each month. We have been ongoing for the last seven years and are successful and well attended.

Our programs vary, and have included antique displays and appraisals, treasured pictures, summertime outdoor picnics, expert talks pertaining local attractions, e.g. Green Wood Furnace, a piano recital by Earl Costa, African missionaries Rev. Allen and Eunice Byler, summertime outdoor hymn sings (Marshall Deckard), talks by local tour guides, trips e.g. Bedford Village, Harrisburg theater/ buffet, summertime Boal Barn Theater, etc.

One Christmas program featured dual organ carols played by the twins, Jean Peterson and Jane Mateer. Other luncheon programs featured pictures taken of each of us before dinner, then made into Valentines and presented back to each by desert. In another program, each told humorous stories – and we all enjoyed them. Another program featured Herb and Rea Hamilton (both retired majors in the Salvation Army), telling a few of their fascinating experiences. Recent luncheons included a trip to the Bread of Life Restaurant, another featured a visit to the Amish museum in Belleville, and another a talk by Dr. Creighton, (a renowned local physician). Last Christmas, our luncheon included a full sized puppet show as presented by Herb and Rea. For our most recent luncheon, each brought a treasured item and told its fascinating story. About our menus, they are delightfully varied to taste.

While only a few attendees are pictured now, additional pictures will be presented in the future.

We meet at the Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 604 Electric Avenue, Lewistown, PA 17044

We seek to live in the Spirit and the Truth, and, there is always an open invitation for friends and neighbors.
